BRIDGEHAMPTON RESIDENCE
BRIDGEHAMPTON, NEW YORK
SCOPE
THE CLIENT REQUESTED A RE-DESIGN OF THE RESIDENCE’S FOUR PRINCIPAL FACADES, INCLUDING REPLACEMENT OF ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS. THE CLIENT DISLIKED THE DISORGANIZED NATURE OF THE EXISTING WINDOWS AND DOORS, SO APPLYING A CONSISTENT ARCHITECTURAL LOGIC ACROSS THE ENTIRETY OF THE HOME WAS PARAMOUNT. AN UPDATE OF THE EXISTING CEDAR PLANK SIDING WAS A SECONDARY GOAL.
PROPOSAL
AN UPDATE THE FOUR MAJOR FACADES OF THE HOME BY ARTICULATING EACH FACADE TO CREATE “PUNCH” WINDOWS THAT EMPHASIZE THE CONNECTION TO THE LANDSCAPE. THE WINDOWS AND DOORS ARE UNIFIED BY USE OF RIBBON-LIKE MATERIAL APPLICATION.
